Full Circle Science lessons are organized such that students know what to expect for the first 10 and the last 10 minutes. Between the introduction and conclusion is an activity which varies from lesson to lesson in content, format, learning style, and group-size. Scientific inquiry can be conducted in many ways and can be tailored to the specific needs of diverse students.
Full Circle Science is especially useful for classrooms with differentiated learning. Each of the five main topic sections contains a variety of lessons that can be taught and retaught in greater depth depending upon the age, grade, or advancement of the student. Advanced learners can excel and students with special needs, such as OT, PT, Speech, Spectrum, ADHD, PDD, etc., are accommodated. This curriculum is intended to challenge every type of learner with varied activities, including not only traditional science and inquiry-based learning, but also creative, abstract, applied, whole-body, and language learning. Students using Full Circle Science get the opportunity to learn science through multiple learning styles. They will make art & music, dance, move, write, read, experiment, do math, integrate social studies, play games, design, build, and hone their social skills, empathy, ethical awareness, fine and gross motor skills. The format varies from lesson to lesson from teacher-directed to partners to small group to whole-class.
